BoardGrove Architects is a Melbourne based creative architecture and design studio, established in 2016 by Holly Board and Peter Grove.
We are interested in all creative projects – from objects to urban plans, rural to city environments – and are not bound by style or typology. We aim to deliver original projects that delight and surprise whilst being rigorous and precise. Our work has an equal weighting to form and experience. Fostering long term relationships and quality outcomes is of great importance to us and as such Holly and Pete are present in every project. We listen, we collaborate, we participate, we challenge, we learn, we lead and we aspire to be responsible to the place and the environment. We take time to experiment and aim to create buildings, spaces and objects that capture the imagination and emotionally resonate with the people who interact with them.
Our work has won awards in Australia and Europe. We have recently won a number of prestigious awards including; The Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter Kevin Borland Award for Small Project Architecture for the NGV Triennial Outdoor Pavilions and the Good Design Award Best in Class: Product – Furniture and Lighting for the MPavilion Stool Dolly. We have exhibited internationally at Milan Furniture Fair and were subsequently picked by Yatzer as showing one of the best products of Salone. We are represented by Gallery Sally Dan Cuthbert in Sydney, Australia’s first Visual and Function Art Gallery dedicated to Australian artists and designers. Our completed projects have received wide press coverage in various countries, online, in books and in magazines.
